Rozanne & Justin’s  Wedding
at Boesmanland Farm Kitchen, Langebaan

Justin and Rozanne were married on Saturday 19 September 2015 at Boesmanland Farm Kitchen, among the white sands of a Langebaan beach. It is a romantic venue and setting only one hour from Cape Town,  on the Langebaan beachfront, which is extremely popular for weddings and promises a memorable and unique experience. Boesmanland offers three wedding options: one can tie the knot right on the beach under the wedding arch, or on the grass in the gazebo or in the lapa, depending on the weather and the couples’ special requirements. It serves traditional food for up to 400 guests for a picture perfect day.  Each dish is prepared on open fires in large traditional African potjie pots every day.

A Langebaan Wedding | The Story

We arrived to a beautiful, warm spring day, which was surprisingly windless for Langebaan and scouted the wedding area around Boesmanland Farm Kitchen, where we met Rozanne making final preparations and overseeing the final touches on the table decorations. After making arrangements to meet up with Rozanne at a later stage, we continued on to meet the groom, Justin at the West Coast Lifestyle lodge.

Justin and brother cut a stylish duo but his young nephew was much harder to get a shot of. However after letting him run around a bit he eventually forgot about the camera and allowed me to capture a few precious shots.

We then moved on to meet Rozanne as she prepared for her wedding at the Crystal lagoon lodge. It is a stunning location, which provides a spectacular view across the ocean. The room was comfortable and provided plenty of space to prepare for the big day. The large windows let in a lot of natural light and the sea view gave a magnificent backdrop.

The Style

Both the bride & groom wanted a bare foot beach wedding – with sandy, jewel decorated feet, the couple married and then moved down to the water to spend some time with the photographer.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was held on grass area that leads from Plaaskombuis to the beach, where guests were seated looking out towards the setting sun.
Her arrival was heralded by the flower girls who them came round the corner bearing signs saying Hier kom sy/ Hier sy kom? ( which means Here she comes )

With their family and friends seated around them, Rozanne and Justin promised to stay true to eachother, and held hands while placing the rings on eachothers fingers. As husband and wife, they promised their vows and sealed their commitment with a kiss.  The rest of the evening was spent popping, clinking, and cheering to what may have been the happiest couple in the world at that exact moment.
